Jan Moran is a bestselling author, beauty and lifestyle expert, media spokesperson and industry consultant, who has been featured in international media, including CNN, Allure, Elle, Vogue, InStyle and Women’s Wear Daily.
She also advises on the use of technology in retail stores and lectures on entrepreneurship. Jan is the founder and creator of Scentsa, the touch screen experiences for fragrance and skincare in Sephora stores in the US, Canada, France, Brazil, Denmark, and Mexico. Sephora acquired the Scentsa technology in 2013.
Jan is the author of the Rizzoli bestselling guide to perfumery, FABULOUS FRAGRANCES. Her next book is A PROMISE OF ROSES from St. Martin’s Press, a spellbinding historical fiction novel based on the life of a French perfumer during 1940s. As a speaker, consultant, and major brand/retailer spokesperson, Jan has spoken before numerous groups, including Fashion Group International, The Fragrance Foundation, and The American Society of Perfumers. She has represented brands and retailers in media on behalf of several PR companies, including Edelman and DeVries. She is available for consulting, training, and speaking engagements. She has written for Costco, Elle, Cosmopolitan, and Porthole Cruise, among others.
Jan is a graduate of the Harvard Business School, the University of Texas at Austin, and Semester at Sea. As an entrepreneur and former CEO and board member, she speaks on a variety of topics, including topics in the fragrance and beauty industries, technology engagement at retail, entrepreneurship, the business of writing, women in business, and other topics.
